Five out-of-state board members of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas — the entity that maintains and operates much of the state’s electricity grid — will resign Wednesday, according to a notice filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
Several things here:
There were out-of-state members. I wonder what their expertise was or if they were just big campaign donors.
Interesting that they resigned just before testifying to lawmakers who are obviously looking for a scapegoat for their bad decisions over the years.
I wonder if this is a move to try to avoid civil penalties in Texas.
