This article is a nice summation of the attempt of the GOP to rewrite history. Biden managed to follow the track laid down by Trump. It is very possible that Trump, if he had fulfilled his campaign promise to withdraw, would have just left all the Afghan support behind. Critics like Josh Hawley originally wanted the withdrawal done by the Trump negotiated May 1 deadline, now they are calling this (their own policy) a fiasco.
