The curriculum’s goal is not to replace standard social studies, but to enhance it in areas that don’t adequately talk about the institution of slavery, according to creators. A 2018 report from the Southern Poverty Law Center found popular history textbooks fail to do this.
I will have to read this whole set of articles. I suspect I’ll find much to like and somethings to question in the project.
