$1.9 trillion stimulus bill breakdown: What’s in the Senate’s bill?

Democrats forged ahead to move President Biden’s $1.9 trillion covid package through the Senate on Saturday, adopting the bill without any Republican support after a marathon debate that lasted over 24 hours.

They had to remove the minimum wage increase to $15. I suspect there will be a separate bill for this.

The child tax credit is very interesting. Far less overhead than AFDC was.

Republicans are complaining that there is stuff in here that isn’t pandemic related. Bull. It’s all related to getting the economy jump-started after a devastating year and to reviving community cultural programs that are close to death.
